Face Coverings at Drop off and Pick Up times
Dear families, 16th Sept 2020
At school we are constantly reviewing our practices and procedures so we can reduce risks of Covid-19 for all members of our school community, pupils, staff and parents.
You may possibly be aware that we cannot use the KS1 door, due to the urgent structural building work that needs to take place, which means families in different bubbles have to use the other entrances and exits around school. We also understand that waiting outside the playground or field may be dangerous due to the school’s close proximity to the road so parents from different bubbles are waiting to drop off and pick up children within schools grounds. Although parents are not entering the school building, and are doing their best to communicate with school via phone, there are of course still times when parents have to speak with school staff face to face whilst outside. We have identified that this presents some element of risk that we can reduce.
Therefore, at pick up and drop off time, our staff who are supervising children outside, will now be wearing visors. We are also asking
parents/carers who are entering school grounds to wear a face covering from today
(this includes our playground, main entrance, car park and the school field). We also remind families to please follow the latest government advice at all times;
Make space and stay at least 2 metres apart - or 1 metre with a face covering or other precautions
It is also important that all children wash their hands thoroughly for 20 seconds before they leave their home on a morning, and wash them thoroughly again when they get home.
Thank you for your continued support. By working together we can protect one another and all our school community will continue to stay safe.
